Welcome to the Wonky Bee

It's A WONKY BEE!!! Whoo hoo.. let's all get our heads out of the norm and think Wonky!  I am excited to setup this blog for us to use as a playground to show off our Wonky side.  Blocks, words of wisdom, patterns..or questions... as we get them during the Wonky Bee we can post them here for everyone in the Bee to see...  You can choose to participate here or not..but I am hoping that you All dig in and give posting a try.  Just another way for us to step out of the norm and try a little WONKY! :~)

If any of you are setup with a Flickr account, I have setup a Group also called Wonky Bee.  That way we can use that as another venue as well.   Flickr is an online photostream program that we can share with as well (for those of you who didn't know that :)

IF you don't have a GMAIL account setup yet..I recommend that you set one up...that way you don't have lots of emails going to a work address...Gmail accounts are FREE and it will make it ALOT easier for you to make comments and posts here.  This is a Free Blog Site, so others will be able to stop in and see all our posts and pictures.

I searched the web about Virtual Quilting Bees and found some information to help make it easier for all of us...Links are below... {Just Click on the Highlighted words, and you will be directed to the link}

We (myself or Georgia) will be getting ahold of you shortly with everyone's email address and mailing addresses and a schedule for everyone's month and times for sending out their blocks as soon as we get to 12 people.  I hope we get to 12 soon, so we can all get started. :)

I'm excited about the whole thing...so far I haven't done a bee where you send out fabric to the participants...just bees where the monthly leader sends out a tutorial and wishes and you use your own fabrics/scraps with a possible specified fabric to tie the blocks all together. So this will be a learning experience! A question...will we send out all of the fabric? Or will we send out some and rely on the participants to fill it out with some of their own, too? Either way is fine, but it will influence my block pattern choice, lol. Thanks again for organizing this!!!
